Before starting any online workout, programme or membership, or attending any in-person class, we ask you to confirm your fitness to participate through the applicable Health and Participation Declaration. This is a self-declaration you make, rather than a detailed medical questionnaire (PAR-Q) that we collect and store answer-by-answer. See section 5 below for how we handle this.

-
In our legitimate interests to operate and improve The Gym House
-
Necessary to protect someone's vital interests, for example responding to a medical emergency at an in-person class
-
Used with your consent, including certain marketing, photography and health information
You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
5. Health information
Health information receives additional legal protection.
Please do not send us detailed medical records. If you choose to tell us about an injury, pregnancy, medical condition or other health concern, we will only use that information where necessary to respond or provide the requested service.
Before you start any online workout, programme or membership, or attend an in-person class, we will ask you to accept the applicable Health and Participation Declaration. This is where we ask for your explicit consent to the limited health-related confirmations described in that declaration.
If you're injured or unwell during an in-person class, we may create a brief written record of what happened for safety, insurance and legal reasons. We keep this only as long as necessary for those purposes. Health information will not be used for marketing.
6. Who we share information with
We may share necessary information with trusted providers that help us operate, including:
-
Wix, which hosts our website and online content
-
Wix Payments and other payment providers, to process your purchases
-
Email and marketing providers
-
Website, IT and cloud-storage providers
-
The venue(s) where in-person classes are held, where necessary for booking, safety or emergency purposes
-
Accountants and professional advisers
-
Government authorities where required by law
These providers may only use the information for the service they provide to us.
7. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the UK.
Where this happens, we will use appropriate safeguards required by data-protection law to protect your information.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed.
Customer, payment and accounting records may normally be kept for up to six years to meet legal and tax requirements. Incident or accident reports may be kept longer where needed for insurance or legal reasons. Other information will be deleted when it is no longer required.
You can ask us to delete your information, although we may need to retain certain records where the law requires us to do so.
9. Marketing
We will only send electronic marketing where we have permission or another lawful reason to do so.
You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in a marketing email or contacting us.
Withdrawing from marketing will not stop essential messages about an active booking, purchase or membership.
10. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate, remember preferences and understand how the website is used.
Further information and cookie choices are available through our website's cookie banner and Cookie Policy.
11. Keeping information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure.
Customers are responsible for keeping their account and login details secure.
Some venues where we hold in-person classes may operate CCTV for security purposes. This is managed by the venue, and any footage is subject to the venue's own privacy notice where provided.
12. Your rights

Ask for a copy of your personal information

Correct inaccurate information
